Materials & Care

GOLD VERMEIL

Our gold vermeil (pronounced “ver-may”) is a premium form of gold plating over sterling silver. Plated in Italy, our vermeil features approximately 2.5 microns of 14K gold over a sterling silver base. Each piece is stamped 925, denoting the sterling silver beneath the gold.

As a plated material, the gold surface will naturally evolve with wear, particularly in areas exposed to frequent friction.

CARE

Vermeil likes to stay dry and requires a bit more care than solid gold. Remove before bathing, swimming or exercising, and avoid direct contact with perfume, lotions, oils and other cosmetics. After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth and store in the anti-tarnish packaging provided.
